The Tourist Heaven

Arrive at Serendipity @11:15a.m
a mob of 40+ ppl already waiting outside and the place opens at 11:30
you can totally spot the tourists in typical khakis/denim shorts + long white socks + sneaker (or worse, those velcro sports sandals)
such is Serendipity on Labor Day weekend....

waited for 40 mins which is not that bad at all....
Meal for 2 = an omelette + Oreo Express Drink + Fruit Sundae.

Methinks I've tasted every sundae on the menu already.
the banana split, brownie fudge, sand tart, strawberry cheesecake....etc.

Eat while eavedropping neighbor tables' convo, it's either:
a) a group of women giggling guffawing and talking
b) families with teenagers eating in silence with the teen texting or listening ipod.

WHY is that?

and WHY does Serendipity's sundae taste so good?
it's just vanilla and hot fudge....! but so creamy.....! and dreamy...!
(ok, kidding. the place actually creeks me out a bit with dolls hanged from the ceiling by poking their heads with a hook.)

i must admit that i can't get enough of their frrrozen hot chocolate, but i don't know if the 2 hour wait is really worth it.
